“She is going to put nooses around everyone’s necks”
SEPTEMBER 1, 2016
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange hit out at the corporate media Wednesday for propping up Hillary Clinton by parroting her campaign talking points.
“The American liberal media is falling over themselves to defend Hillary Clinton,” Assange declared during a live Facebook video interview with The New York Times.
“[They are] erecting a demon who is going to put nooses around everyone’s necks as soon as she wins this election, which she is almost certainly going to do.” Assange added.
The Wikileaks leader, who published internal DNC emails as well as emails from Hillary’s private server, added that he was astounded to see Clinton suggesting that her opponents are aligned with Russia.
“[It’s] that attempted reframing by Hillary Clinton, to declare media organizations that are publishing material that shows illicit behavior in the [Democratic National Committee] to fix the election for her, as somehow being Russian agents,” Assange urged.
“Her campaign has effectively called, or maybe even directly called Donald Trump, the opposition leader in this case, a Russian agent,” Assange added.
“Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate, the fourth candidate effectively in terms of numbers, has also been called a Russian agent. This is a neo-McCarthyist hysteria.” he also told viewers.
Assange explained that as far as his organisation is concerned, Russia is not a threat – the real world power is China.
“Any serious analyst understands that China and the United States are the only real games in town,” he said. “China has ten times the population of Russia, seven times the GDP. Russia has the GDP of Italy.”
“Of course, within its own neck of the woods, countries in between Russia and China, the Caucasus and so on, of course, Russia is very significant to them. On the world stage, Russia’s a bit player.”
Assange has previously teased that Wikileaks has further information on Clinton that it will release closer to the general election.
“I think it’s significant. You know, it depends on how it catches fire in the public and in the media,” Assange said in an interview with Fox News.
“I don’t want to give the game away, but it’s a variety of documents from different types of institutions that are associated with the election campaign, some quite unexpected angles, some quite interesting, some even entertaining.” Assange said.
Wikileaks has already released emails from Hillary’s private server that suggest the presidential candidate was suffering from “decision fatigue” and sought information about a drug used to treat Parkinson’s and sleepiness.
As we documented in previous videos, Assange appears to be concerned over his safety given the importance of the information in Wikileaks’ possession. He has mentioned in previous interviews about how Hillary is kept constantly updated about his activities.
